4.1 Some physiological preliminaries
In this chapter we will discuss pharmacokinetics from a physiological per-
spective in order to better understand the nature of the pharmacokinetic
models we have discussed so far and will discuss further in Chapter 5. This
includes that we mathematically build a pharmacokinetics model that reflects
at least parts of the physiology, and then analyze this model with the standard
PK methods discussed so far.
