nD modelling

7.1 Introduction

So far, 2D, 3D and 4D CAD modelling have been introduced in the previous chapters. A rhetorical question now remains: what lies beyond 4D modelling? This was touched upon in Chapter 2, where it was noted that the merging of process and production modelling led to nD modelling. The concept of nD modelling was first introduced by the authors at the University of Salford. In this chapter, we will focus on the concept of nD modelling, its development and its future.
