Abstract
Security through diversity is a calculated and measured response to threats and attacks that cannot be anticipated. In nature, diversity is a counter force to events unforeseen and unplanned, providing a protracted ability to survive against an improbable event or series of events. The application of diversity as a security doctrine is difficult and counterintuitive to institutions yet, may prove an essential component of digital survivability.
