The previous chapters considered some of the practicalities of basic modelling and the application of materials. Although the examples offered were focused on theatre, the chapter did not really reflect upon the poetics of the process. The authors believe that it is as important to understand the metaphysics of the creative process as it is to understand the practicalities, and that an intelligent designer must see the significance of their working methods as much as the efficacy of their design choice.
