Assigning Accounts Automatically in CO
At a high level, the logic applied to automatic account assignment in CO is similar to that in FI. During posting activity, SAP automatically determines coding block items based upon certain rules. In Chapter 4 you learned that these rules are defined for FI through activity processing keys like BSX (Inventory Postings). In the case of BSX, the company code/material valuation class involved in the material movement determines the account to be posted. For the CO account assignment, accounts are not determined, but rather CO objects are.
