Monitoring Windows Server Using Windows Server Tools and Azure Services
In this chapter, we will learn about the various ways we can monitor and alert ourselves to Windows Server performance and availability events. We will learn how to use performance monitor and Data Collector Sets, learn how to monitor servers and event logs using Windows Admin Center, and monitor overall server health using System Insights.
We will also learn how to deploy and configure Azure Monitor Agents to collect performance data and alert on predefined thresholds. Finally, we will discuss how to use the Azure diagnostics extension in Azure VMs, as well as how to monitor performance using VM Insights to achieve the AZ-801 exam’s preparation objectives.
