The word conflict connotes all kinds of imagery and emotions for people. Nearly all of which tend to be negative.

Sometimes it’s worth the battle to try to expand or change the definition of a word. I’ve been doing that for most of this book: helping the reader begin to view conflict as a leadership opportunity. Conflict is something we do. We mostly have not done it well. However, we can do it well. Actually, we can be great at it.
