Reverse Engineering the Four Schema

In this chapter we reverse engineer the various databases that will be the sources for the ODS. We will describe the steps required to reverse engineer, create data dictionaries and prepare the logical and physical data models for the operational databases.

For the sake of brevity, we will use one MS Access database, one MS Excel Spreadsheet (with several tabs), one MySQL database and one MS SQL Server 2008 R2 database as the sources.
