Designing the Physical ODS Database Model

Having generated the necessary physical models and data dictionaries in Chapter 5 for the source database and having generated ODS schema in Chapter 7, we now create the physical database model. In this chapter we will present models for each of the main subject area and then display the final model. This chapter also includes the data dictionaries that map the logical entity and attribute names to the physical names we will use in the ODS.

Let's start by assigning physical names to the logical table names and also include descriptions so we can easily identify the purpose of the table.
