the person’s other job responsibilities. In more than one case I know of, the
person assigned to be the “IP manager” thought patents were a waste of time
and hated the job.
It can be a much better choice to hire or to outsource this position to a dedi-
cated IP project manager who actually knows what he or she is doing and who
