AGREEMENT

In many ways, this is the continuation and conclusion of the contact phase. This phase formally confirms the understanding between you and your client. A common consulting term used for this phase for external consultants is contracting. For internal consultants and their clients, the term contract may imply a legal agreement—more formality than they intend, even though this is a social and not a legal contract. Nevertheless, because contract is a term frequently used by consultants, we will use both terms in this book.
