Engaging the Essential You
To lead others well you must know thyself, lead thyself, and continuously become. The size of your vision and the impact you want to have will determine who you become.
The Essential You is you at the core of it all (Figure 6.1). This is the authentic you, not the you that your boss or partner or organization or society or even your mother thinks you should be. Just you.
