The next step in the evolution towards a more flexible, DevOps-oriented architecture is the inclusion of an automation platform that allows operation and support engineers to simplify many aspects of deployment and maintenance tasks within an organization. Automation tools are numerous and varied, depending on the extent to which you wish to automate your applications.
