Abstract

Selection of optimal resources in the cloud is one of the challenging issues that influence the cost and time of this computing paradigm. The main goal of the service provider is to schedule the cloudlets efficiently to avoid the possibility of overutilization and underutilization of resources that directly affects the services of the cloud also the budget of end-users. Several state-of-art techniques have been published to accomplish the requirement of either end-users or service provider’s QoS parameters but failed to solve completely. This paper presents a new time and cost-effective Multi-Objective Cloudlet Scheduling Approach (CSA) to overcome the mentioned issue. The main idea of this research work is to convert the large domain scheduling problem in to small size clustering problems while minimizing the makespan and computation cost. The proposed CSA divides the cloud-let list into several clusters and allocate each cluster to the best possible virtual machine without violating resources availability and others constraint. The proposed ...
