In this section, we’ll show you how to sign applets and Web Start applications for use with the Java Plug-in software. There are two scenarios:
• Delivery in an intranet
• Delivery over the public Internet
In the first scenario, a system administrator installs policy files and certificates on local machines. Whenever the Java Plug-in tool loads signed code, it consults the policy file for the permissions and the keystore for signatures.
