COREJAVA directory contains the sample files for both volumes of Core Java. The
WINDOWS directory contains the Java development kit (JDK) for Windows 95/NT and a number of useful shareware programs. The remaining directories contain the JDK for those operating systems.
You can skip this step if you already have a Java 1.1 development environment installed.
Locate the subdirectory on the CD-ROM that matches your operating system.
