Google was founded on September 4, 1998, in Menlo Park, California, USA, thanks to the development of the World Wide Web. Google belongs to the Internet content and information industry, having moved from the technology sector to the communication services sector. It is part of the Alphabet Inc. group, based in the state of Delaware, USA, which owns dozens of companies. Google is the largest and most important of them all.
