Tencent Holdings Limited is a company that was created in 1998 by Hua Teng Ma and Zhang Zhidong, specializing in mobile and internet services, as well as online advertising. Its headquarters are in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, in the People’s Republic of China. Tencent’s services include social networks, portals, e-commerce, and multiplayer online games. It manages the instant messaging service Tencent QQ, operates one of China’s largest portals, QQ.com, and the instant messaging app WeChat.
