Using Gravatars

At this point, our profiles look a bit boring with just a bunch of text, because we don't have support for uploading images into our system. We're going to avoid this topic in this book for the sake of time, but also for our users' benefit. There is a decent amount of friction in getting users to upload a new profile image each time they join a service. Instead, there is a service that can make our lives a bit easier: Gravatar (http://www.gravatar.com). Gravatar is a web service that allows users to upload a profile image to one single location. From there, other applications can grab the profile image, using the user's e-mail address as the identifier of the image.
