You want the courage to take the risk.

You want the unfiltered clarity about who you are and permission to fully explore what you are truly capable of doing.

You want the confidence to pursue and embody the strongest, bravest, boldest version of yourself.

We all desire on some level to be bold and audacious, and to explore our curiosity. It's a risky decision.

Unfortunately, as women, especially in our careers, we are subconsciously taught and consciously reminded that “traditionally” we cannot afford to be risk takers. There are systems that penalize women for taking risks, from having children, to taking a sabbatical.

We are told directly or indirectly that it will cost us our career, our reputation, our financial future if we are too strong, too direct, too feminine, or _________________ (fill in the blank). The list is long and exhaustive. Not to mention that if we can push past the fear of the backlash, there is an absence of support once we do take the risk.

The choice to abandon the expectations placed on us, discover our own authentic desires, and pursue alignment with the vision we have for our personal lives and our careers is a messy battle. And as if it weren't hard enough dealing with the external barriers, the internal barrages of imposter syndrome, self‐criticism, guilt, or worthiness when making ourselves a priority causes analysis paralysis, self‐doubt, and procrastination.
