It seems a little redundant to talk about creating a personal blog, because in the beginning all blogs were personal. To have a business blog was anathema to bloggers. Making a blog that is all about “you” is the heart of personal blogging. You is in quotes because, as you’ve learned, who “you” are online depends on how much or how little you want to reveal.
