IV.2. Change Your Life, Break the Cycle

Okay, let's clear our minds of all the hopelessness, entitlement, and disempowerment that has dragged down so many of our brothers and sisters. Let's look at what you can do to rise above all this in your own life. First, make it a determined goal in your life to break the cycle, to lay down all the excuses, break away from the entitlement programs that enslave people's minds and lives, and get serious about your life and your future.

A real good place to start is in how we look at sex, marriage, and children. I don't really care what all the talking heads on television say, if a girl gets married before having children, there's a greater chance of raising her child in a two-parent home. If a boy and girl make a baby irresponsibly, the odds are stacked against their relationship, their finances, their life ... and their child. If you really love each other and want a child, wait. People need to get their lives together before they go popping out babies. They must make the decision to marry carefully, prayerfully, and choose not to get pregnant or impregnate anyone else outside of marriage.

I know I'm preaching, but the numbers are staggering. Up to 40 percent of girls age 15 to 19 are having babies—that's 40 out of 100! That adds up to dozens of babies in every high school and thousands more in colleges all over the country—every year. At least that many or more end their pregnancy in abortion—a sad note on our "me" culture and its bitter ...
