8.4. WSUS Architectures

Though not immediately obvious during the installation of the software, there are seven possible configurations for WSUS. Each of these configurations may be used depending on the size of the network, as well as the managing IT group's requirements. The level of trust between IT groups is also an important determinant in selecting an architecture.
