Chapter 8. The Business Layer – Advanced Topics
In the previous chapter, we discussed many principles and the best practices related to designing the Data Foundation layer. In this chapter, we will discuss some advanced topics related to the Business layer. We already covered the basic concepts of the Business layer in Chapter 5, Creating the Business Layer. Here, we will cover the remaining topics that we haven't covered yet, such as list of values (LOVs) and navigation paths. We will also get to know some important advanced features such as aggregate awareness and index awareness. Finally, we will learn how to use the Translation Management Tool to translate our Business layer, and then we will discuss the properties of the Business layer.
