12. Flex and Flash Integration
In Chapter 2, “Adobe Flex and AIR,” you learned that Flex applications run in the Flash Player. This relationship allows you to capitalize on some of the tight integration between Flex and Flash CS3 to create stateful skins, smooth transitions, custom containers, and advanced motion. To implement these features in Flex, each has its own set of requirements that utilizes an extension called the Flex Component Kit, which was created by Adobe, or uses the Motion XML export function in Flash CS3. In this chapter, you will get an overview of some of the Flash and Flex integration features and how you can use them for your Flex projects.
