12.3. Creating a Custom Container Using the Flex Component Kit

As mentioned in the Chapter 3, “Dynamic Layout,” you can use container components within Flex to define the layout of your application. Using the Flex Component Kit, you can create your own custom container components in Flash and use them in Flex.

Just like any other container within Flex, your custom container can have other controls or containers added and arranged as you see fit. When creating a custom container within Flash, you control its appearance and the way it positions items within its boundaries.
