Abstract

Building information modelling (BIM) is an emerging technology developed and applied to the construction project life cycle. This chapter aims to introduce the BIM adoption and implementation in the fire prevention and firefighting design phase. The results show the checklist of works for evaluation and approval drawings and documents of fire prevention and fire fighting in addition to common requirements. The present chapter also introduces an operation process of the BIM-based fire safety management system, which is considered to apply on construction sites.
