Before there was XBOX and PlayStation, before board games and card games, there was just people sitting around fighting boredom with trivial contests. Every game we know stated off with the simple competitive premise, “What can we do right now that will produce a winner and a loser but won’t end with one or the other losing their life?” Games are way for us to challenge ourselves to see if we have what it takes to best another, but not all games need the complexity of a screen or a playing board.
