Synchronous online is a live training environment in which participants are connected online in different parts of the world. In this environment, an online facilitator is present to encourage participation and learning. A producer, who manages the technical aspects of the session, also may be used. The producer ensures that participants understand all of the tools, including how to raise their hand or use the chat feature to share responses electronically. Helping participants get into breakout rooms for small group discussions, and troubleshooting any technical challenges is also the producer’s responsibility.
