1 I Open up the pattern.ai file in Illustrator. Select the entire contents of the file.This file contains all of the vector objects and compound paths that we’ll use as the building blocks to create a background texture in Photoshop. After you have selected everything, choose Edit>Copy from the menu. Leave Illustrator open, but go ahead and close the file. Now launch Photoshop to run both applications simultaneously.
