Jon Whittle Turns Research into Action
It was an honor to chat with Jon Whittle, the director of Australia’s national center for R&D in data science, Data61. Prior to this, Jon was the Dean for the Information Technology faculty at Monash University, and early in his career he was a senior research scientist as NASA. Jon is an experienced research leader and academic who is well-placed to speak about innovation in the field of AI and strategies for success. I was particularly interested in learning about Jon’s views on how to overcome challenges in translating research into actionable outcomes – especially at scale.
