CHAPTER 6Drawing Tools
6.1 Introduction
In this chapter, we will discuss and develop drawing tools such as sections (planar and offset sections), auxiliary views, detailed views, dimension tolerances, orientation of the part, and radial datums. All these tools are necessary to communicate the design intent of the product further accurately to customers and suppliers.
Sections or cross sections are the cut‐through views of parts to allow the person to see interior features of the modeled part, material, dimensions, and other elements such as hidden lines or datum axes. Creo parametric allows us to develop sections directly referenced on the part and bring onto the drawing view. In this chapter, we will cover both planar and offset sections.
