As the world becomes increasingly globalized, cross-cultural interactions between people have increased exponentially. This can be attributed to many reasons, including but not limited to mass immigration, international tourism, and business transactions. Ultimately, this increase in globalization requires all people to pursue a better understanding of effective communications in cross-cultural settings. This process is particularly true for educators, as the personal nature of interactions regarding children requires empathy, understanding, and respect.
