The mysterious looping folklore blows some areas of the loop way out of proportion. We’d been through the Gulf crossing and the Rock Pile formations and did not understand all of the consternation about either place. Other places get barely a mention at all and are big deals. The Jersey coast is perhaps the most significant of these places.
