Special Interfaces for Special Tasks

The methods described in the previous section apply to the typical SAS task—a task that has the job of creating a SAS program to run. However, what if you don't want to generate a SAS program? What if you want a task that performs a different operation that involves something different from a SAS program or in addition to a SAS program?

Fortunately, the custom task APIs provide hooks for special tasks. You can use ISASTaskExecution to provide greater control over how your task works. In SAS Enterprise Guide, additional interfaces, such as ISASProject and ISASProjectProcessFlow, programmatically explore and access the content of your current project.
