Wrapping the Sample in a Task
With the SAS program in place and working, the remaining steps for creating this custom task are:
- Design and build a simple user interface to accept the options to use in the SAS macro.
- Create a simple model to represent the options in .NET and to store and retrieve the settings using XML. In this way, the settings are remembered in your SAS Enterprise Guide project.
- Package the SAS code in the task and add the logic that assembles the correct program to run based on the stored settings.
