Project management is a topic that has been the subject of many books. Many successful models exist in the area of information systems project management, but the basic principles apply to the successful management of any project. Eric Verzuh, in his book The Fast Forward MBA in Project Management, says that a project is any work that we do only once. Projects have a beginning and an end, and they produce unique results. Designing and developing a piece of your CRM infrastructure is a project; using your web site to answer hundreds of customer support questions is not.
