MAGNUS MUHR
Swedish photographer Magnus Muhr’s irreverent fly pictures seem to really capture people’s imaginations. He stumbled upon the idea by chance when he was at a party, went for a walk and came across a dead fly. He got home, put some flies on a piece of paper, drew legs, arms and backgrounds, and an internet sensation was born. The flies can be seen participating in all sorts of activities, from sunbathing to ice skating, and Muhr sees that they have a universal appeal: ‘I think they’ve become popular as they are very simple and don’t need any explanation, the language is international and the humour is about human feelings and activities.’ ...
