Abstract

The IoT-based smart transport sector has completely altered our understanding of transportation networks. The Internet of Things (IoT) allows us to connect users, infrastructure, and vehicles to manage traffic more effectively while also enhancing safety and minimising environmental impact. For the smart transportation ecosystem to maintain its integrity, confidentiality, and availability, a number of security issues must be resolved along with these advantages. Intelligent transportation systems depend on IoT devices, including sensors, actuators, and communication modules. These devices are susceptible to a range of assaults, including physical theft, tampering, and unauthorised access. To avoid disturbances in the system, it is essential to ensure the security of these devices. Smart transportation systems generate a lot of data from various sources, such as user devices, infrastructure, and vehicles. Sensitive data, including location information, unique identifiers for individuals, and payment information, is frequently included in this data. This data must be shielded against unauthorised access, interception, and manipulation to ensure user privacy and stop misuse. IoT devices in smart transportation systems communicate information and commands using wireless communication protocols. In order to avoid ...
