1 Cyborg An Introduction
1.1 Introduction
A cyborg (/ˈsaɪbɔːrɡ/) body is a body of both organic and biomechatronicidal elements and is a portmanteau of cybernetic organism.
Manfred Clynes and Nathan S. Kline coined the term in 1960. The terminology cyborg is not the same as that used in Figure 1.1 but refers to an organism having re-established function or increased capabilities due to the incorporation of such artificial components or technologies that are based on the feedback of some kind.
