Summary

This chapter continued to educate you in the ways of the 3D zen programmer. This is such a monumental subject that we have only just scratched the surface in this chapter. However, what you have learned here is more than just the basics—you have experienced the fundamentals of 3D graphics programming from a very functional and applied point of view. You could take the concepts you’ve learned in this chapter (and those that came before it) to create a complete 3D game using the stock 3D objects that DarkBASIC can create for you. Of course, there is an even more advanced way to make a game—by loading and animating a 3D model from a mesh file. And that is the subject of the next chapter.
