13Satisfaction of Employees in Primary and Secondary Healthcare Structures During the Pandemic Period in the Prefecture of Magnesia
The pandemic period brought about changes in the levels of job satisfaction and burnout in healthcare professionals. The aim of this study is to examine the satisfaction and burnout levels of healthcare professionals as well as how their perceptions have been affected based on their demographic and occupational profile. The relationship between job satisfaction and burnout has also been studied.
The methodology of the survey was based on a quantitative survey, primary, correlative between and within the groups using valid, highly reliable questionnaires (α ≥ 0.708). The research involved 120 healthcare professionals working at the General Hospital of Magnesia, the majority of nurses and other healthcare professionals, women who are middle-aged (46 years old), married with one to two children and have 14 years of service in this unit. The analysis was performed at a significance level of 5%, using the independent samples t-test, Mann–Whitney, ANOVA, Kruskal–Wallis and Spearman.
The conclusions of the study are that healthcare professionals at this hospital felt moderate to high personal achievement, low emotional exhaustion and very low depersonalization during the Covid-19 period.
