State the Hypothesis

State each null hypothesis and its alternative hypothesis in words. Also, give the formal statistical statement of the hypothesis, because it might be useful for a statistical reviewer to see in the final report or manuscript. For example, we might test the null hypothesis of no difference between two groups of patients in mean Hba1c, a type of hemoglobin that is elevated in diabetics, against the alternative hypothesis that a difference will be found.
Ho : µ1 = µ2
HA: µ1 ≠ µ2
where, µ1 =mean HbaA1c in the active treatment group and µ2 =mean HbaA1c in the placebo group.
