4.1 Introduction
Generally, two strategies are used to design the controller in a closed loop, i.e. the model based design and the direct data driven design. The primary step of the model based design is to construct the plant model and apply this mathematical model in the process of designing a controller. Conversely in the direct data driven method, the modeling process is not needed and the controller is directly designed by using the input-output data.
