Data cycle step 7: Information and insight publishing
As discussed in the Introduction and in the open science animation 1 , we clearly distinguish between the publishing of (narrative) conclusions, claims, and insights in classical scientific articles and the publishing of data. Narrative (not necessarily journals as we know them) will always play a role in the digging part of open science. Computers and computer-readable language are not very well suited to interpret human language and associative reasoning.
