The Seven New Tools for Quality Improvement
In the previous chapter, we discussed the seven basic tools of quality. In addition to these useful tools, there is another set of seven tools known as seven new tools for quality improvement. These tools are the result of the research efforts of the Japanese Society for QC Technique Development and focus on problem solving and decision making in quality. These tools are:
1. Affinity Diagram
2. Interrelationship Digraph
3. Matrix Diagram
4. Tree Diagram
5. Prioritizing Matrices
6. Process Decision Program Chart (PDPC)
7. Activity Network Diagram
