13.12 The Object-Relational Stencil
The Object-Relational stencil is introduced here, but not discussed in detail. When you
open an ER Source or Database Model Diagram solution, an Object-Relational stencil
appears in the shapes window along with the ER stencil. To display the Object-
Relational stencil shapes, simply click its title bar (Figure 13–18).
This stencil includes three new icons for modeling: Table inheritance, Type, and
Type inheritance (Figure 13–19). The three special icons provide additional support for
object relational features supported in a few DBMSs such as Oracle 8 or higher, or IBM
