7.1.3 Registering the change
After providing the base version information and the data set to save the delta between the
versions, you are asked to register a change. Enter a unique name for your change and
point-and-shoot to CONTINUE. You do not have to specify a delta version. See Figure 7-7.

There is a PROMOTE job generated in the data set ADMIN.CNTL.CM.PROMOTE that has to be
submitted. If the PROMOTE job runs successfully, your recently registered change changes
its status to COMPLETE. See Figure 7-8.

The line command I can be entered and you are prompted with additional information such
as the status and the delta changes data set. See Figure 7-9.

The PROMOTE job finally does the version compare between the starting and ending version
and builds the data set ADMIN.CM.DELTA. This is the delta changes data set built from the
PROMOTE process.
