Non-Windows platforms
Using the command line, type:
/opt/bin/db2recex
{InstallDir}/bin/db2recex
If the installation’s opt/bin directory is in your PATH, you can just type db2recex
3.4.2 Connecting to a database
Once you have launched DB2 Recovery Expert, the first thing you need to do is
to connect to a database. On the Database Status page, select the database you
want to use from the drop-down window labeled Database (Figure 3-10).

A dialog box appears asking for your username and password (Figure 3-11).
