In order to be useful, Versioning Repository updates must be combined with
backups, and because updating the Versioning Repository does not consume
much time or resources (especially in a stable production environment where
DDL is run infrequently), the strategy we recommend is to schedule a Versioning
Repository update immediately before every backup.
4.2.4 Backing up the Versioning Repository
The VR stores its information in a set of tables inside the DB2 database.
Currently the VR consists of only a single table space (ORVRTS).
